MP URGES LOCAL CHARITIES TO APPLY FOR FUNDING

Local Member of Parliament Paul Masterton is encouraging local charities and community groups to apply for funding from a pot of over £3 million that has been raised by players of the People’s Postcode Lottery.

East Renfrewshire MP, Paul Masterton has outlined his opposition to the BBC’s plans to scrap free TV licences for some pensioners. This came after news emerged earlier this week that the BBC was scrapping free licenses for those aged over 75 who were not in in receipt of pension credit.

Apprentices from East Renfrewshire were joined by Paul Masterton in the House of Commons this week to celebrate the 12,000 apprenticeships provided by the UK’s Aerospace, Defence, Security and Space industries.
