Council Report Opens the Way for Braidbar Quarry Development

 

Jackson Carlaw MSP and Paul Masterton MP have re-stated their opposition to any house building proposal for Braidbar Quarry and Huntly Park as the remediation of Braidbar Quarry is set to be discussed at a meeting of the East Renfrewshire full council on Wednesday.

 

East Renfrewshire MP hosts Universal Credit event

East Renfrewshire MP, Paul Masterton is to host a “Universal Credit Event” as the new payment is now in full operation across the constituency.

 

The event hosted by Mr Masterton will provide guidance and information on Universal Credit, as well as assistance with applications.

Crime in East Renfrewshire has seen the second highest jump in Scotland, as incidents rose by more than 14% compared to last year.

 

The number of crime and offences committed in the area for the period 2017-18 topped 4400, whilst the number of “sexual crimes” hit 112.
