I was born in Edinburgh, and after studying Law at Dundee University, spent a short time working in Northern Ireland before settling in Glasgow with my wife.
Prior to my election in 2017, I spent 9 years working as a pensions and long-term savings specialist solicitor at one of Scotland’s leading law firms. I was also Chair of my local Community Council.
As the father of two young children, I want to make sure that East Renfrewshire is a great place to live and work for parents and families. And I want to make sure that East Renfrewshire thrives for generations to come.
That means working with constituents to champion East Renfrewshire’s small and micro enterprises, as well as the incredible network of charities and volunteer groups. Working with Government and the private sector to attract more investment and engaging with community and faith leaders to protect our rich cultural diversity.
I’m incredibly ambitious for East Renfrewshire, and want to help residents achieve their goals and support them through their problems.
As well as fighting to get the best deal for East Renfrewshire as we leave the EU, I will always defend Scotland’s place in our Union – because we’re a stronger nation if we stand together, as one United Kingdom.
I am delighted to be standing again in the forthcoming General Election, and I hope to have your vote on 12th December.
